A very informative and important session on the topic
Sanitization for personal hygiene during Corona” for non-teaching staff was organized by the department of hotel management, which is led by Mr. Madhusudan Adhikari, a senior assistant professor at the college.
In two days workshop we covers all topics regarding hygiene during the Corona Period.
Key practices emphasized during this period included:
- Regular and thorough washing of hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially after being in a public place, touching surfaces, or after coughing, sneezing, or blowing one’s nose.
- Using hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol when soap and water were not available.
- Wearing face masks in public settings, particularly where social distancing measures were difficult to maintain, such as in grocery stores or on public transportation
- Ensuring masks covered both the nose and mouth and fit snugly against the sides of the face without gaps.
- Covering coughs and sneezes with a tissue or the inside of the elbow, followed by immediate handwashing or use of hand sanitizer.
- Proper disposal of used tissues and masks.
- Regular cleaning and disinfecting of frequently touched objects and surfaces, such as doorknobs, light switches, and mobile phones, using appropriate disinfectants.
- Maintaining a distance of at least 6 feet from others to minimize close contact and potential virus transmission.
- Avoiding crowded places and large gatherings.
