Anti Ragging & Harassment Cell

In 1997, the Supreme Court recognized and addressed the issue of harassment at the work place.The judgement created mandatory woman harassment prevention guidelines of the workplace, which is applicable all over India.

Anti –Woman Harassment Cell (IHMS) is with its establishment in compliance to the instructions of the University and the guidelines of UGC received.

The cell seeks to achieve goals through various programmes:

PREAMBLE:

In view of the directions of the Hon’ble Supreme Court dated 08/05/2009 and in consideration of the determination of the Central Government and the UGC to prohibit, prevent and eliminate the scourge of Ragging.

In compliance to the instructions of the University and the guidelines of the UGC “All students have to full fill a prescribed online form at UGC site ‘antiragging.in’ and submit a hard copy of the same, along with an affidavit, as prescribed, on Rs. 10/- non Judicial stamp paper, during admission.”

OBJECTIVE:

To eliminate Ragging in all forms from Universities, Deemed Universities and other Higher Educational Institute in the Country by prohibiting it under these regulations, preventing its occurrence and punishing those indulge in Ragging as provided for in these regulations and the appropriate Law in force.
