HMS, Kotdwar, organized an industrial visit to companies like Mother Dairy Processing Unit, Delhi, and Tech Mahindra Company, Noida, on March 29–30, 2023. It was a great learning opportunity for students and professionals interested in the field of food processing and information technology.
Mother Dairy is a leading manufacturer and supplier of milk and milk-based products in India. A visit to their plant helped students understand the various stages of milk processing, packaging, and distribution. They also learned about the safety measures and quality control procedures followed by the company to ensure that their products are of the highest quality.
On the other hand, Tech Mahindra is a multinational information technology company that offers various services like IT consulting, software development, and digital transformation to its clients. A visit to their facility provided valuable insights into the latest technologies and tools used in the industry. Students also learned about the work culture, project management, and team collaboration in the IT industry.
During the visit, students and professionals interacted with the employees and management of both companies to gain a better understanding of their operations, challenges, and opportunities. They can also ask questions and seek advice on various aspects of the industry.

Department of business management of the Institute of Hospitality Management & Sciences, Kotdwar, organized the “Business Talking Titans Speech Competition” for BBA Department on 24 February 2023 at 11 am in the AV room. The aim of this competition is to evolve the communication skills among the students the future leaders. This initiative is envisioned to identify young, powerful communicators and leaders who can communicate their thoughts to inspire the youth and other students.
The total number of participants was 24. Students were asked to pick a topic. Every participant was given precisely 1 day to prepare the speech on their selected topic. The parameter for the judgment was the introduction, pronunciation, facts & figures, confidence, and presentation. These are the topics for the speech.

2: Young Entrepreneurs
3: The Economic Impact of the Russia-Ukraine War on India
4: Management of Personal Finance
5: The role of creativity and innovation in business
6: Role of News agencies in society
7: Digitization in Education

The total time allotted for the speech was 3 to 5 minutes. The judges of the competition were Mr.Surendra Singh Jagwan (HOD of Management), Mr. Pranjal Rawat, and Mrs. Mamta from the Management department.

The winners were awarded certificates and medals from Col. The competition concluded successfully with great words of encouragement and appreciation from the Director of Administration Col.B.S.Gusain.
