The Department of Hotel Management  organized a two-day session on  “Dining Etiquettes” for all non teaching staff of institute under MDP on 25^th & 26^th Feb 2022 by Mr. Pankaj Kukreti. The main objective of this session was as follows-

The “Dining Etiquettes” workshop for non-teaching staff enhances professionalism and interpersonal skills for social and professional dining. Participants refine table manners, communication, and conduct through practical demonstrations and interactive activities. Emphasis on proper attire, seating arrangements, and graceful handling of challenging situations ensures positive institute representation. Feedback sessions and goal-setting exercises were tailored to the specific needs of the participants, ensuring that each individual had the opportunity to cultivate confidence and sophistication in navigating diverse dining environments. By the end of the workshop, these 16 participants emerged equipped with the skills and knowledge necessary to represent their institute with poise and professionalism during various social and professional engagements.

A very informative and important session on the topic

Sanitization for personal hygiene during Corona” for non-teaching staff was organized by the department of hotel management, which is led by Mr. Madhusudan Adhikari, a senior assistant professor at the college.

In two days  workshop we  covers all topics regarding hygiene during the Corona Period.

Key practices emphasized during this period included:

• •  Regular and thorough washing of hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially after being in a public place, touching surfaces, or after coughing, sneezing, or blowing one’s nose.
  •  Using hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol when soap and water were not available.
    • Wearing face masks in public settings, particularly where social distancing measures were difficult to maintain, such as in grocery stores or on public transportation
    • Ensuring masks covered both the nose and mouth and fit snugly against the sides of the face without gaps.
      • Covering coughs and sneezes with a tissue or the inside of the elbow, followed by immediate handwashing or use of hand sanitizer.
      • Proper disposal of used tissues and masks.
        • Regular cleaning and disinfecting of frequently touched objects and surfaces, such as doorknobs, light switches, and mobile phones, using appropriate disinfectants.
          • Maintaining a distance of at least 6 feet from others to minimize close contact and potential virus transmission.
          • Avoiding crowded places and large gatherings.

IHMS college Kotdwara organized a three-day workshop on Computer awareness program for non-teaching staff, which was conducted by department of CS & IT. The sessions were led by Mr. Naveen Rawat , Mr. Ashish Baunthiyal & Mr. Anurag Semwal a Senior Assistant Professor  with extensive experience in digital literacy programs.

Basically, the main motive of the program is to inform them about the importance of computer literacy in our daily life. In three day session we teach them about the basics of computer, operating systems and their types, and office automation tools like MS Word, Excel , Power Point, etc.

As a Previous year, IHMS college Kotdwara organized a three-day workshop on Computer awareness program for non-teaching staff, which was conducted by department of CS & IT. The sessions were led by Mr. Naveen Rawat , Mr. Ankit Rajput & Mr. Anurag Semwal a Senior Assistant Professor  with extensive experience in digital literacy programs.
